Fairy O’Mairey (Who is truly quite scary) Once ate a canary That was still in its cage It belonged to her brother His name was Salieri (After Mozart’s contemporary) Though mostly called ‘Sweary’ By every Tam, Duck and Hairy And all of the other Members of his clientage He is even more scary A cruel adversary Entirely mercenary With a terrible rage Which is legendary As most arbitrary And unleashed on the unwary For one thing or tother Causing terrible damage Despite appearances Sweary Was fond of the canary (And didn’t want the expense of buying another) Kicked Fairy up the backside until she brought up the cage With its slightly acid-eaten but still singing baggage A disconsolate Fairy Ran crying to her mother Who placed a bookmark at her current page And assuming the facial demeanour of a sage Said, 'Stop bawling Fairy! Please act your age!'
