Anchorage Monopoly
I only had one problem leaving Anchorage
I kept following the signage
That lead to Anchorage
And it's difficult to get out of anywhere
If you keep following directions that tell you how to get there
Life's a lot like that: we start travelling in a rut
And all our ruts are forged into a hoop
So no matter how far we go we keep on heading back where we came from
And it's difficult to break out of the loop
Every time we pass through GO we get two hundred dollars
And that's designed to keep us in the game
But we're supposed to build on that, so when we get back to our start point
Our situation isn't just the same
So develop all your assets, and know each bout with CHANCE
Is potentially a hazard or a gold mine
Celebrate each course change, or you'll maybe find your life is
Spent snoozing, looping round the circle line
We can keep our life a circle where we have no chance to grow
Or we can spin it like a spiral or a wheel
So when we face the same direction, our perspective's not the same one
And every cycle brings us the power to grow and heal
Life is full of wrong turns and the way most of us act
Is to back up very quickly and revise
But if we keep on in full knowledge that we're forging a new pathway
We can see a lot of scenery that we'd bypass otherwise
It really doesn't matter which direction we take off in
For everywhere's connected to the rest
And every route has vistas we can see only going that way
So the most direct is not always the best
I only had one problem leaving Anchorage
I kept following the signage
That lead to Anchorage
But there's one law of travelling we can't doubt
If you get back to the centre, then every way is out
