Waves
I sat upon the sandy beach
And looked out at the sea
And all the waves came curling in
And each one said to me
'The sun is sparkling in the sky
Why don’t you come and play?
You could run and jump and splash
And frolic in our spray
Our home is really beautiful
Why don’t you come and stay?'
But I didn’t answer
So they slowly ebbed away
