In the Desert
Riding in the desert the other day
In my white burnoose with my solar toupee
Reflecting all those ultra-violent rays
I made a note on my mental jotter
If I'm not mistaken it is getting hotter
Than in the years preceding the Y2Ks
And I thought if my external reflection
Is as good as my internal reflection
I'm in pretty good shape
What you have there is a reflection about reflection
In other words a meta-reflection
Now the question is which one came first
The two-triple-zero or our increased thirst
Is natural selection or the iPhone craze to blame
If all those computers back then had failed
Heat production would have been derailed
And we wouldn't be playing the Global Warming game
You know I'm warming to the warmth of the Warming debate
That's meta-meta-warming friends
With no energy costs
Totally environmentally friendly meta-meta-warming
Except I'm wondering if we need to sequester all the hot air
And since someone mentioned sequestration
If we bury all those gases below our nation
We could turn our land into an eco-balloon
We could tame our own South Seas bubble
Rise above all terrestrial trouble
And go and mine the water on the moon
We'd forget all about the Oz-one layer
And who's got clout as a global player
As the first space-going nation we'd call the tune
Thanks to a reflection on a desert dune
On reflection I'm not sure if that solar toupee is working properly
That's a reflection about non-reflection
Is that an atem-reflection
Or something more meta-physical?
