Before We Get the Rain

Sometimes my heart feels under attack As I look around and see all the pain And I wonder how deep the earth must crack Before we get the rain There are clouds on the horizon I can see But they bypass us time and again And I fear how dry the earth will be Before we get the rain The dust clouds are thickening Mother Earth is sickening Can’t you hear her moan? She’s crying with tears of blood For us to avert the flood And none of us can do it on our own So I pray that we all will unite To strip away the marks of Cain To heal the earth with love and light Before we get the rain
