An Example Solve
This is an example of a recent solve of a Times Cryptic.
As you can see there is a lot of working out around the margins. I made really heavy weather of this.
I have underlined the Definition in each clue. A '?' beside a clue means that I was sure the answer was right but couldn't parse it. In the case where I have crossed out a '?' and then reinstated it, I couldn't parse then thought I could and then realised I couldn't. I had to go to the Times Blog to find out how these clues were actually parsed.
If I have a '??' after a clue (not in this case) then I can't work out either the Definition or the Wordplay but that is the only word that fits. This is called Biffing.
You will see I have had to correct my spelling a few times. I always say I could do these things easier if I could spell.
